About me

Hello and a warm welcome. My name is Fran and I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I offer a compassionate, personalised counselling approach to adults (18+) of all genders who are experiencing a wide range of issues. My aim is to hold space for you to explore whatever would be helpful for you where you will be listened to with warmth and acceptance.

I have worked extensively with people who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual abuse and trauma. By offering a space for people to reflect and explore what they have been through in a safe, confidential and calm environment, my hope is that clients can work towards empowerment and healing by being accepted and listened to without judgement.

Qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Association that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority and adhere to their ethical framework.

I am qualified as an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have a fully enhanced DBS certificate and hold professional indemnity insurance.

Background

I worked for over ten years in Higher Education supporting students on their journeys through University life. I was drawn to working with mental health when I saw the complex challenges that some of these students were experiencing and knew that I wanted to use my passion for helping people in a really meaningful way. Since then I have worked with victims and survivors of physical, psychological and financial domestic abuse as well as as people who have experienced childhood trauma, sexual abuse, bereavement and relationship challenges.

Alongside my private practice I work at Sheffield Mind, a local mental health charity.
